  • Day 01 - Singapore/ Mandalay
    Fly Singapore/Yangon MI522 1130/1320 (3h 20m)- Thu, Sat, Sun

    Start at Kuthodaw Pagoda, is the world’s largest book at 729 marble stone slabs which contains the entire Buddhist scriptures. Next stop is Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings before passing the lively Yadanabon market and numerous local workshops, Arrive at Mahamuni Pagoda, highly revered as the holiest pagoda in the city.

    Optional: Half Day Mandalay Nights By Motorbike
    Hop onto your motorbike (with experienced driver) and zip around the colorful streets of the city. Start a lively local market and embark on a lively exploration of Chinatown.

  • Day 02 - Mandalay

    Join the Ananda to embark on your journey and settle into your suite before lunch.

    Afternoon excursion by coach to Amarapura with its textile workshops and Sagaing, the centre of the Buddhist faith in Myanmar. A boat will take by the U Bein Bridge to enjoy the sunset with drinks. Enjoy a welcome dinner on the sandbank overlooking Mingun, followed by a traditional musical performance.

  • Day 03 - Mingun

    For those who wish, an early morning visit to the village of Sin Kyun is offered. Next, visit Mingun to see the Mingun Pagoda, Mingun Bell and the unusually white Myatheindan Pagoda. Return to the ship and sail south. A choice of lectures and demonstrations are on offer during the afternoon or simply relax on board. In the evening, enjoy sandbank sunset cocktails followed by dinner.

  • Day 04 - Pakokku / Bagan

    Early morning yoga and meditation on deck. Take a trishaw to Pakokku to visit the local market, the traditional shoe and cheroot factories. Return to the ship for lunch, after which take a coach tour of Bagan to see some of the most important temples and pagodas among the 2,000 which comprise this most magnificent archaeological site - the Ananda, the Htilominlo and the Pyathatgyi.

    Wonder at the sunset from the Pyathatgyi temple before returning to the ship for dinner and a traditional local performance.

  • Day 05 - Bagan

    Choose one of two early morning optional excursions - a balloon ride over Bagan (at an additional charge) or sunrise meditation at one of the temples.

    After breakfast sail southwards to Sale where a trishaw awaits to take you to visit Yoke Sone Monastery and the wooden temple of Tha-ta-na Kyaung before returning to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon cruise back to Bagan and visit the sacred Buddhist Shwezigon Pagoda. Return to the ship by horsecart for a traditional Shan dinner with our Captain.

  • Day 06 - Bagan / Inle Lake

    After an early breakfast, disembark the boat and transfer to the airport for your flight to Heho.

    Upon your arrival to Heho, drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to the unique and magical Inle Lake. Along the way, we make a stop at the ancient teak wooden Shwe Yan Pyay monastery with the oval windows. Enjoy a delicious Shan lunch with view of the canals, rice paddies and the mountain.

    Begin your boat ride on the lake. Be welcomed by a local Intha family living on stilts and have a glimpse of the unique culture of the Intha. Get an insight into the life of the locals and then navigate through the strips of their floating vegetable farms in a local canoe.

  • Day 07 - Inle Lake

    Today choose one of the below activities:

    A Day on the Lake with ruins of Indein
    Enjoy a full day boating around the lake. Highlights include the rotating five-day markets; the famous Intha fisherman rowing in the one-legged style characteristic of Inle Lake. We will also visit the Phaungdaw U Pagoda, a local cheroot factory (Burmese cigar), Intha Heritage House where the Burmese cats are bred and if you want a weaving factory.

    In the south of the lake the ruins of Indein are certainly worth a visit. Partly covered by vegetation the area looks like a “pagoda forest”.

    Bike and Boat Around Inle Lake
    For the active family, replace the full day boating with a flexible option to do easy biking and boating to explore the lake. Discover Indien village, bike through villages and plantations, have a chat with monks and visit local homes. Cycle and boat around the lake visiting the prominent sights yet bringing you away from the tourists trail.

    As the day turns to evening, enjoy a drink on your way back to hotel while watching the sun setting and locals doing their evening chores.

  • Day 08 - Inle Lake / Yangon

    Today, boat back to Nyaung Shwe and drive about an hour to Heho airport for your flight to Yangon.

    Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. After lunch, continue your cultural journey by taking the local circular train from the busy platform.

    Hop off at Scott market and continue your journey on foot for about 30 minutes strolling pass U Thant Mausoleum and some impressive colonial mansions and enjoy a refreshing drink at local teahouse. Visit the Shwedagon Pagoda this time during dusk, before sunset to witness the massive emerald reflecting the last rays of sun before the pagoda starts to illuminate and local people arrive to say their prayers.

  • Day 09 - Yangon / Singapore

    Optional: Yangon in the early Morning
    Have an early start with a visit to the fish market on the Yangon River. Continue to a fruit and vegetable market, which is open 24 hours a day. Try the famous Burmese breakfast called Mohinga (a mild fish soup with noodles and crackers). By that time the monks are walking through the streets of Yangon to collect their alms and you will wait for them to pass and donate some food to them.

    Yangon Heritage Walk
    Meet your guide for a walking tour. Your guide will give you and short introduction to the history of Myanmar and Yangon. Step on the colonial streets of Yangon, visit the Sule Pagoda and the Independent statue. Passing through the colonial Indian market on your way to Chinatown, end your walk with a tasty Burmese lunch at Rangoon Tea house.

    Transfer to the Yangon airport for your flight.
