Self-drive
Tasmania is a perfect self-drive destination –traffic is generally light, and roads are in good condition with clear directional signs. All tours and hotels will be booked seamlessly in advance for you.



  • Day 00/01 - Singapore / Launceston / George Town
    Fly Singapore/Melbourne SQ 237 2350/1020+1 - Daily except Fri & Sat (7h 30m)

    On arrival in Tasmania, collect your self-drive vehicle or be greeted by your chauffeur/guide. Drive through Launceston, then turn north travelling through the picturesque Tamar Valley to Beauty Point (50km; 1 hr) to visit Seahorse World and Platypus World. Enjoy a fully guided tour (Join-in basis, 10-15 persons) at both centres. Afterwards continue to George Town (42km; 40min) and check into your hotel. After dinner, visit a penguin rookery (Join-in basis, max. 20 persons; 5min from hotel) and watch the Little Penguins making their way up the beach to their homes in the sand dunes.

  • Day 02 - George Town / Cradle Mountain

    Today, visit the "41 Degree South" salmon farm, the Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm and the Chudleigh Honey Farm before making your way over the Gog Ranges to Sheffield. Later in the afternoon, travel to the iconic Cradle Mountain and check into your hotel. At night, take a nocturnal tour of the Tasmania Devil Wildlife Sanctuary. (Join in basis, max 15 persons). (190km; 3hrs not including stops)

  • Day 03 - Cradle Mountain

    This morning, embark on a discovery guided walk to the Crater Falls and further on. (Approx 3 hrs). Return to the lodge to wind down, in the afternoon, follow the Dove Canyon Track to the Pencil Pine Falls for an invigorating swim! Continue downstream towards Knyvet Falls. (Approx 1 hour)

    Alternatively, other activities are available at additional cost, such as fly-fishing, biking, alpine spa, canyoning, horse-riding, quad-biking, helicopter charters and more! (Guided Tours and Walks on join-in basis and may vary with departure date; other walk options available)

  • Day 04 - Cradle Mountain / Strahan

    Travel today to the west coast, through an area rich in mining history and famous for its rugged mountain terrain and rainforest. Pass through Tullah, Lake Roseberry and Zeehan where you may visit the Pioneers Museum and climb the Henty Dunes. On arrival in Strahan, visit some of the local arts and craft stores before checking into your hotel. (140km; 2 hrs not including stops)

  • Day 05 - Strahan - Gordon River Cruise - Strahan

    Today, cruise the Gordon River into the heart of Tasmania's wilderness marveling at ancient Huon pine, sassafras and myrtle rainforest and step ashore for a wilderness board-walk at Heritage Landing.

  • Day 06 - Strahan / Hobart

    Depart towards Queenstown, once the largest copper mine in the world, and continue through ghost villages to the Wild Rivers National Park and Tarraleah Gorge before crossing the Central Plateau. Descend through hills and hop fields of the picturesque Derwent Valley to the city of Hobart and tour historic Battery Point, Salamanca Place and Constitution Docks before checking in.

  • Day 07 - Hobart - Bruny Island - Hobart

    Today, be met and transferred for a world class Bruny Island eco-adventure cruise journeying along the spectacular coastline (Join in basis, max 25 persons.). The area boasts high seacliffs with a rich variety of marine wildlife and seabirds. We’re likely to see seals, dolphins, diving gannets, albatrosses, sea eagles and cliff-nesting peregrine falcons.

  • Day 08 - Hobart / Freycinet

    Follow the Tasman Highway via Orford and Triabunna along the blue waters of the Tasman Sea. Pause at the convict built Spiky Bridge then continue on to gain magnificent views of Freycinet National Park. Along the way you may sample some island delicacies such as oysters and abalone. On arrival at Freycinet, settle into your cozy beach house. (195km; 2.5 hours not including stops)

  • Day 09 - Freycinet

    Today cruise to the beautiful Wine Glass Bay; this secluded getaway offers turquoise blue waters, pure white sand and wallabies that hop right down to the water’s edge. After the cruise you may like to visit Cape Tourville lookout.

  • Day 10 - Freycinet / Launceston Or Hobart / Singapore

    Transfer to Launceston or Hobart for your flight home (175km; 2.5 hours)
