  • Day 02 - Lima

    Morning, have a panoramic tour of the historic centre of Lima – a UNESCO world heritage site! Roam the old colonial streets and the modern district of San Isidro and Miraflores. Be impressed by the Larco Museum with the most extensive collection of pre-Columbian art in Peru.

    Enjoy a traditional criolla lunch at an old manor house with pisco sour tasting – Peru’s national drinks

    Complete your city tour with a visit to the Bohemian neighbourhood of Barranco, known for its artist studios, open-air market, and picturesque parks.

  • Day 03 - Lima / Arequipa / Train Embarkation

    Arequipa is also known as the ‘White City. Explore the elegant historic centre made with sillar, including Convent of St. CatherineJesuit ChurchSanta Catalina Convent and the Yanahuara neighbourhood. This afternoon, make a visit to the Museum of Andean Sanctuaries to see the Juanita Mummy.

    Aboard the new Belmond Andean Explorer this evening. launching in May 2017, it is South America’s first luxury sleeper train, taking you to some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world.

  • Day 04 - Train – Puno / Lake Titicaca

    Altitude: Lake Titicaca (3,812m)

    Rise to a magnificent sunrise over the scared Lake Titicaca, with breakfast onboard before journeying onto the lake itself. Take a boat ride across Lake Titicaca – the world’s highest navigable lake. Visit the unique floating Tortora reed island of the Uros and Taquile Island.

    Board the train for your dinner and overnight journey to Cuzco.

  • Day 05 - Train Disembarkation / Cuzco / Pisac / Sacred Valley

    Visit the archaeological site of Raqchi after breakfast. Your train continue the last part of journey to Cuzco.

    Upon arrival, descend to Sacred Valley. Drive to the archaeological site of Pisac, an impressive Inca complex, with terraces built on its hills and colour markets. Try some local corn beer – chicha on the way.

    Enjoy lunch at a house with owners private collection of pre-Colombian, Incan and colonial artefacts. Arrive Urubamba in the late afternoon, a small town under the snow-capped mountain Ch’iqun.

  • Day 06 - Sacred Valley / Ollantaytambo / Machu Picchu

    Altitude: Aguas Calientes (2,040 m); Machu Picchu (2,430m)

    This morning, drive to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Take the train to Machu Picchu.

    Explore Machu Picchu in the late afternoon when the masses of tourists are gone and the ruin are at its best!

    Today, you will stay overnight either at Aguas Calientes, the gateway of Machu Picchu or Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel at Machu Picchu.

  • Day 07 - Machu Picchu / Cuzco

    Altitude: Cuzco (3,399m)

    You may continue to explore Machu Picchu in the early morning. For the energetic one, you may climb to the Sun Gate or Huayna Picchu.

    In the late afternoon, take the nostalgic Hiram Bingham luxury train back to Cuzco. Cocktails and a gourmet dinner are served.

  • Day 08 - Cuzco
    This morning, explore this exotic Inca capital, which has been listed as a World Heritage Site. From the main square to the Cathedral and Santo Domingo Church. Continue to San Blas, a picturesque neighbourhood and end with a visit at San Pedro Market.

    This afternoon, continue to Coricancha, the Temple of Sun. Visit Sacsayhuaman Fortress, an amazing and huge stone construction.

    This evening, join an entertaining night walking tour around the ancient city map, learn some interesting details about the city's history, and her very real legends.

  • Day 09 - Cuzco / Uyuni / Colchani
    Altitude: Colchani (3,670m)

     Morning, board your private flight to Colchani – the gateway into the stunning Uyuni salt lake.

    Take the 4WD to the Salar de Uyuni - the world’s largest salt desert. Make a visit to the Incahuasi Island (access to island may not be possible between Nov – Mar due to high rainfall). Continue to the Salt Hotel Museum, which was the first property made completely of salt bricks.

  • Day 10 - Colchani / Calama / San Pedro Atacama
    For the early riser, enjoy sunrise at the Uyuni Salt Flat.

    After a picnic lunch on the island, continue towards the tiny village of Coquesa on the shoreline of Uyuni Salt Lakes, there you will have a short hike to reach its cave containing ancient mummies; you will also be able to get close to the Thunupa Volcano.

    Board your private flight to Calama where you will drive 1.5 hours to San Pedro Atacama for 3 nights' stay.

  • Day 11 - San Pedro de Atacama

    Based in this quaint town in the driest desert in the world, you’ll have a plethora of excursions of a range of difficulty levels to choose from. Visit the Valley of the Moon. The barren landscape is one of the harshest environments on the planet with some areas not having received a drop of rain in over a hundred years.

    Optional: Valley of the Moon on horseback (with supplement charge) 

    No trip is complete without stopping at the famous Mirador del Coyote lookout point. This clifftop vantage point is one of the most magnificent places to watch the sunset over the Valley.

    PRIVATE ASTRONOMICAL TOUR WITH ASTRONOMER
    Take a guided star-gazing tour at SpaceObs run by the French astronomer Alain Maury. Your 2.5-hours star-watching experience includes one of the largest parks of telescopes among the public observatories in South America (between 20 and 70cm diameter).

  • Day 12 - San Pedro de Atacama
    Head north to El Tatio, one of the biggest geothermal fields in the world on time for a natural spectacle that starts with the sunrise. Enjoy a light breakfast before taking a soak in one of the hot springs.

    This afternoon, visit Pukara de Quitor, a fortress dating back to the 12th century. Continue to Devil’s Gorgeoffers a landscape of rock formations before ending up at the remains of Catarpe ruins, described as a former Inca administrative center.

  • Day 13 - San Pedro de Atacama / Calama / Iguazu Falls
    Take a private flight to Iguazu Falls.

    Enjoy the Brazilian side of the falls! The walking tour descends down the canyon to offer panoramic views of more than 240 falls. Ride the glass elevator up the cliff face for an exquisite view from the upper deck.

    Optional: Enjoy an unforgettable 10- minute helicopter scenic flight over the falls!

  • Day 14 - Iguazu Falls
    Enjoy the Argentinean side of the falls, known for the close-up views to the falls.

    Enjoy the traditional circuits in the Iguazu National Park - board a gas-propelled train to the Upper Circuit and then the Lower Circuit, for a panoramic view and close contact with the falls and surrounding vegetation. Arrive at the Devil’s Throat where the falls is at its most impressive. Enjoy the exhilarating “Gran Aventura” that combines off-road ride in the jungle and navigation to the middle of the Iguazu Canyon!

  • Day 15 - Iguazu Falls / Buenos Aires

    Enjoy a half day tour of Buenos Aires, known as “Paris of the South”. Start with the historic Plaza de Mayo, the Government House, the Cabildo, the Cathedral and the Plaza de la Republica. Continue onto sophisticated neighbourhoods of San Telmo, Palermo, Puerto Madero and Recoleta. Walk through colourful La Boca districts, and end with Reco­leta cemetery and church housing well-known personalities like Eva Peron.

    Evening, you will be treated to a typical Argentinean Beef dinner with Tango Show (join in transfer, without guide; supplement for private guide and driver available).

  • Day 16 - Buenos Aires

    Experience Colon Theatre: Visit one of the five best opera houses in the world, see the theatres, tailor, wigmaker and scenography rooms backstage.

    Underground Buenos Aires: One of the best kept secrets in the city – El Zanjón de Granados - a series of old tunnels going back to 1730. A fascinating glimpse into the city’s architectural past.

    Evita’s Life: Visit the General Labor Union Building, Evita´s Museum and Taller of Marcelo Toledo - renowned goldsmith responsible for making replicas of the jewels worn by Evita.
