  • Day 01 - Singapore / Cluj Napoca / Maramures

    Upon arrival be met by your English speaking driver-guide and journey towards Maramures, which is considered to be the heart and soul of rural Romania with its picturesque countryside of small villages, rolling hills, pastures and meadows full of wildflowers.

    Along the way stop for local traditional lunch as well visit the Romania’s first UNESCO Heritage listed wooden church the Holy Archangels.

    Arrive to your hotel and enjoy rest of the evening free for leisure.

  • Day 02 - Maramures

    Your exploration take you to one of the most beautiful and complete mural painting entities is found, to the UNESCO World Heritage listed church of St. Parasceva of Desesti. The church displays a collection of 14 wooden painted icons of great artistic value.

    Visit a local hat and plum brandy – maker and have a taste of the local plum brandy. Continue your journey to Sapanta, which is famous of the “Merry Cemetery”, where the crosses are painted in unique color of blue and carved to represent the buried person’s life.

    Return to your guesthouse and enjoy traditional dinner with folk music.

  • Day 03 - Maramures / Bucovina

    Today, we explore the famous painted monasteries of the South Bucovina, collectively listed as UNESCO World Heritage Monuments . Visit Monastery of Barsana, which is a large monastic complex comprising of several wooden buildings, all constructed in the local style , including the wooden church and the Gate Tower, which is the highest wooden building from Europe.

    Along the way to Bucovina, visit UNESCO World Heritage listed St. Nicholas’ Church wooden church at Bogdan Voda, where you can admire the preserved paintings.

  • Day 04 - Bucovina

    Visit Voronet, the most famous and stunning of the painted monasteries; founded in 1487, widely known throughout Europe as “the Sistine Chapel of the East”.

    Continue to Sucevita Monastery, which is also UNESCO Heritage Listed and is the only church that includes a representation of The Ladder of St. John. It was the last of the 22 painted churches of Bucovina and has the largest number of painted images.

    Visit the Moldovita monastery, which is considered by many mural painting experts as “one of the most important monuments of medieval Romanian art”.

  • Day 05 - Bucovina / Sighisoara

    Drive to Sighisoara and en route, stop at Neamt Monastery, the most important in terms of hierarchy. Next we will enjoy a very scenic drive along the Lake Bicaz. Continue past the Bicaz Gorge, a unique landscape in Romania.

    You will have a chance to admire the Murder Lake, the largest natural mountain lake in Romania, its name coming from the reddish alluvia (iron oxides and iron hydroxides) deposited in the lake by the Red Creek.

    Next adventure will be visiting a genuine Gypsy/Roma family where you will discover their culture and style of life.

    Arrive in Sighisoara, the medieval citadel where Dracula was born in 1430, early evening.

  • Day 06 - Sighisoara / Brasov

    Embark to the city tour around Sighisoara, visiting some of the highlights such as Clock Tower with the stunning peacock colored roof tiles, Vlad the Impaler and the Church on the Hill, which is the highest point of the town.

    Enjoy a scenic drive to south through Fagaras area, along the way stop at Cincsor and other saxon fortified churches , which are UNESCO heritage .

    After the special lunch cooked by a famous Romanian cook and artist, continue to drive to Brasov and visit the 800 years old Bran Castle built by the Teutonic Knight.

  • Day 07 - Brasov / Bucharest

    After breakfast, visit the Black Church which represents the most ample and important monument in gothic flamboyant style in Romania. Enjoy a walk through the center and the Schei District that is said to be the oldest part of Brasov, where you can see the oldest house in Romania.

    Head towards Bucharest and along the way stop to see the Peles Castle, the former summer residence of the Hohenzollern Kings’ family.  Stop to enjoy champagne lunch at Azuga.

    Visit the Snagov Monastery where the grave of Dracula is located, before reaching Bucharest in the late afternoon. Enjoy some rest before heading taste the walachian dinner with wine tasting.

  • Day 08 - Bucharest

    Today, we begin your exploration of Romania with a tour of the enormous Palace of Parliament, the best reminder of Ceausescu’s era. Then it’s the Patriarchal Cathedral, and then head to Cotroceni Palace. The day culminates with a walking tour in the old town including a visit to Stavropoleos Church.

  • Day 09 - Bucharest / Veliko Tarnova / Plovdiv

    This morning, we leave for Bucharest and followed by the Romanian – Bulgarian border where we meet our Bulgarian guide. The drive today takes us to Veliko Tarnova – the Medieval Capital city of Bulgaria situated on the four hill.

    On the way to Plovdiv, stop at the Rose Valley and visit a rose oil farm. Here, the Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak was discovered in the 1960s. Visit the tomb, which is part of a larger Thracian necropolis, consisting of a corridor and burial chamber decorated with murals, which are protected by UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Day 10 - Plovdiv / Sofia

    Enjoy a tour of Plovdiv and the region - the Roman Amphitheatre, the Ethnographic Museum and Hindlian House – fine examples of Bulgarian National-Revival architecture.

    Continue your journey to the capital city of Bulgaria. Upon arrival to Sofia, enjoy a city tour visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Boyana monastery. During the tour you will see the difference between the old and new city centers and covering the St. Sofia, St. George Rotunda, the National Theatre, the Presidency, and the Parliament Square.

  • Day 11 - Sofia

    This morning, we make an excursion to the Rila Monastery, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest and most famous Eastern Orthodox monastery in Bulgaria.

    Return to Sofia and enjoy rest of the day free for shopping and leisure.

    Tonight, enjoy a Bulgarian farewell dinner with folklore show.

    Today enjoy free day for leisure, before transferring to the airport
