9 DAYS TANZANIA MIGRATION SAFARIS- EARTH'S GREATEST WILDLIFE SHOW WITH RUSSELL GAMMON (7 TO 16 SEP 2012)

The millions of wildebeest along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles crossing the great African plains and mighty rivers is one of the greatest wildlife shows on earth. And this outstanding phenomenon happens between 2 of the finest game parks in Africa, Masai Mara and Serengeti with the attendance of majestic super predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and wild dogs.

DAY 02          08 Sep, Sat     ARUSHA / TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

This morning, transfer by light aircraft to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is an expanse of gently rolling countryside dotted with the majestic Baobab trees. During the dry season from Jun to Sep, huge herds of elephants that roam the park congregate at the river and many species of migratory wildlife return to the permanent water here making it truly spectacular during these months.

Late afternoon, starts your first safari game drive as the day wanes. This is the time when animal is at its most active and the bush at its loveliest. Enjoy a sun downer followed by exciting night drive to observe the many nocturnal animals. Return to your camp for your sumptuous dinner, share tales of your day’s adventure and learn more about the amazing wilderness from Russell.

DAY 03          09 Sep, Sun    TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

You have another day to explore Tarangire National Park with morning, evening and night drives. For the adventurous, you can also go on nature walk.

DAY 04          10 Sep, Mon   TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK / LAKE MANYARA / NGORONGORO CRATER

Leaving Tarangire, we drive to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is situated at the Escarpment of the Africa Great Rift Valley with lovely scenery and spectacular sight of huge flocks of flamingos. It is also well known the unique tree climbing lion.

Continue driving to Ngorongoro Crater for the night.

DAY 05          11 Sep, Tue    NGORONGORO CRATER

Today, enjoy a full day game drive in Ngorongoro Crater. This spectacular collapsed volcanic crater is a truly remarkable area with the densest game population in Africa on its crater floor - from big games like lions, elephants, leopards, and rhino to antelopes and gazelles to abundant birdlife. The dramatic setting of the crater wall is a nature spectacle by itself.

DAY 06          12 Sep, Wed   NGORONGORO / SERENGETI

Drive back to Manyara airstrip for flight to a remote camp in Serengeti.

Serengeti is easily the most stunning park in Africa. And it is here where the annual migration of the 2 million wildebeest along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles is at its height from July to Sep. Our exclusive camp is away from it all right by the Mara River. This is where one of the “star spectacles” of crossing the river is played out.

You will enjoy a late afternoon game drive.

DAY 07/08     13/14 Sep, Thu/Fri    SERENGETI

You have 2 full days here to experience this once on a life time wildlife experience!

On the last evening, you will be treated to a farewell dinner of a Hemmingway style fine dining in the wilderness of African bush!

DAY 09          15 Sep, Sat     SERENGETI / NAIROBI / SINGAPORE

After the last morning safari activity, bid farewell to the wilderness and fly back to Nairobi via Arusha. Catch your connect flight home.
